Assessment 2 Researcher
This assessment required me to research different databases to explore technologies that assist in the teaching of literacy. From researching the many different databases I have acquired new skills in searching and have become more familiar with different databases. During the search process I used ERIC, Google Scholar, Murdoch Findit, podcasts using iTuneu and the compainon website which is always a wonderful resourse. I was required to write a report with the outcomes of my five types of multimedia. The teaching of literacy in the classroom is part of the very foundations of education, without the skills of reading and writing a student can not advance academically or in other part of life. I am very passionate about literacy and the teaching of our younger generations and with the advancements in technologies a whole new range of learning opens up which is very exciting.
During referencing of this assessment I to, have learnt many new skills and one of those is the use of endnotes. While finding it very frustrating to start with, like any new technology once familiar you become more comfortable, this is what I experiences when using endnotes. Endnotes is a database that allows you to search, organise, collaborate and import references. It is a wonderful reference tool!
There is some great research engines if you would like to try them here are the links! http://www.apple.com/educator/ituneu http://www.library.murdoch.edu.au/findit I hope you can take some resources and information from my site and use it to help you integrate technology into your classroom and school , enjoy and embrace technology. | Literacy and learning is fun !
